A not-for-profit organization volunteer coalition in New York State's Capital Region (Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady counties and beyond), ZeroWasteCD is focused on education and outreach about the importance of reducing waste.
Founded by members of PAUSE (People of Albany United for Safe Energy), BuyLocal/GrowLocal is a Capital Region-specific online directory for sustainable businesses, information on home agriculture, community gardens, local groups, and so much more.
A Troy, NY-based nonprofit, Capital Roots is celebrating 50 years of working towards fresh, healthy food for all in the area. Their programs include Healthy Stores, Veggie Mobiles, Farm to School, and many, many more!
The Radix Center promotes ecological literacy and stewardship through educational programs. They prioritize teaching practical skills to promote both environmental and economic sustainability.
